MATTRIX Terms of Use — Launch Draft **Effective date:** August 29, 2026 These Terms govern use of MATTRIX. They are a launch-ready product draft but should receive final legal review when the operating legal entity and governing-law clause are finalized. ## 1. Eligibility During the initial beta and testing period, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. ## 2. Your account Provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and do not share or transfer your account. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless caused by a MATTRIX security failure. ## 3. The service MATTRIX helps users record and analyze jiu-jitsu training, track progress, manage Partner relationships, and share selected milestones. Features may change during beta and production development. ## 4. Training and health disclaimer Jiu-jitsu and combat sports involve risk of injury. MATTRIX does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency services, or a substitute for qualified coaching. Training statistics and insights are informational tools. Follow your instructor's safety rules, respect taps and withdrawal of consent, and seek qualified medical care when appropriate. ## 5. Your content You retain ownership of content you create. You grant MATTRIX a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, reproduce, display, transmit, and technically adapt your content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Services and to display it according to your chosen sharing settings. This license ends when content is deleted from active systems, except for temporary backups, legal retention, and content another user independently controls as part of their own records. You must have the rights and permissions needed for anything you upload, including identifiable photos of other people. ## 6. Acceptable use You must follow the Community Guidelines at https://mattrixbjj.com/community-guidelines. Do not misuse the Services, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt infrastructure, scrape at scale, reverse engineer in violation of applicable law, use the Services for fraud or illegal activity, or interfere with another user's privacy or safety. ## 7. Partner relationships and visibility A Partner relationship is reciprocal. Features marked Partner-only are intended to follow the product's authorization rules. Do not treat a Partner connection as permission to use someone's data outside the Services or beyond the purpose for which it was shared. ## 8. Intellectual property MATTRIX software, branding, design, and original service content are owned by MATTRIX or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. ## 9. Privacy Our Privacy Policy is at https://mattrixbjj.com/privacy. ## 10. Suspension and termination We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, serious or repeated rule violations, abuse, or risk to users. Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to appeal. You may stop using MATTRIX and request account deletion at https://mattrixbjj.com/delete-account. ## 11. Beta availability Beta software may contain defects, incomplete features, or temporary data limitations. Back up information that is independently important to you. We may modify or discontinue beta functionality. ## 12. Disclaimers and liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MATTRIX is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that training insights will produce any athletic result. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights, remedies, warranties, or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. ## 13. Changes We may update these Terms as the Services evolve.
